I'm a member of the American Hemerocallis Society, hybridize daylilies, and live on 112 acres in the hills of south east Ohio.

I attribute my love of nature to growing up on a farm about 35 miles north of Dayton Ohio. As a kid you could find me riding my bike over gravel roads in search of an adventure. I usually ended up in someone else’s woods, creek, or hillside. Around the age of 10 my dad gave me a camera. I burned through 3 rolls of film in less than an hour, taking pictures of my dog and every flower I could find.

Thank goodness for digital “film” because my photo taking days are not over. On a recent trip to China I took over 4000 images. The photography now supplements my videography.  I’ve produced some videos of the hardships in SE Ohio for Athens County Job and Family Services along with some videos about daylilies.

The Daylily Addict is a labor of love. It allows me to talk to daylily people all over the country along with seeing the cutting edge daylilies hybridizers are producing. The DVDs take the form of a Ken Burns documentary and are set to music. There are four issues a year featuring hybridizers from all over the USA.

I hope you enjoy seeing The Daylily Addict as much as I enjoy putting it together.
